Summary
PS LTD are currently recruiting a Vehicle Prepper to join an experienced and professional bodyshop team based in Corby . This role plays a key part in the daily production of the bodyshop, ensuring vehicles are prepared and finished to the highest standards in line with customer requirements, under the guidance of the Bodyshop / Operations Manager.
Available Shift Patterns
Monday – Friday | 06:00 start
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare vehicles for paint, including masking, sanding, and priming panels
Ensure prepared panels are free from defects prior to paint
Work across a range of vehicles, from small family cars to light commercial vehicles
Follow standards and processes set by paint and dry goods suppliers to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective finish
Check all work prior to starting to ensure repairs meet required standards
Accurately complete parts requisitions
Complete all work within allocated times and work efficiently to meet targets
Support the wider bodyshop team across other departments when required
Develop and maintain positive, professional working relationships with colleagues
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper / Bodyshop Technician (essential)
Full UK Driving Licence, with the ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles (essential)
Over 21 years old with a minimum of 2 years’ driving experience (essential for insurance purposes)
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
Excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
Willingness to support and mentor junior technicians
Passion for the motor industry and commitment to customer standards
