Crynodeb
Are you someone who loves sales, building relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning everyday conversations into long-term partnerships?
I’ve just met with the Sales Manager for a forward-thinking, growing business on the outskirts of Newark, and she’s looking to welcome an Account Executive into her close-knit sales team, working alongside two Account Managers and a Sales Administrator.
This is a genuinely relationship-led sales role — varied, engaging, and fast-moving — where no two days are the same and your sales performance is recognised and rewarded. This isn’t pushy or transactional sales; it’s about understanding clients, adding value, and building trust.
This role would suit someone who is naturally inquisitive — the kind of sales professional who asks the right questions, listens carefully, and truly understands a customer before offering the right solution.
If you enjoy uncovering sales opportunities through conversation rather than pressure, and you’re at your best when developing long-term partnerships, you’ll thrive here.
You’ll be working with an established database of over 2,500 key accounts — and only a proportion currently have maintenance and repair contracts in place. That means real, tangible sales opportunity for someone who enjoys:
• Upselling and cross-selling
• Solution-based, consultative sales
• Retaining, nurturing, and growing existing accounts
If you’ve worked in sales selling cars, homes, sheds, services, insurance, or any consultative product or service, you’ll feel right at home.
• No cold calling
• No heavy lead generation
• No endless research
The sales opportunities are already there.
What you’ll be doing
• Managing renewals, proposals, and contracts across your own sales account portfolio
• Acting as a trusted point of contact and building long-term client relationships
• Securing recurring maintenance contracts through effective sales conversations
• Identifying and closing upsell and cross-sell sales opportunities
• Preparing quotes, providing technical advice, and handing over to the Operations team
• Keeping customers warm, engaged, and well looked after
You’ll manage your own diary, work autonomously, and be fully supported with sales training, development, and ongoing encouragement.
Reward & benefits
• 0.5% commission on everything you generate and close through sales
• 20 days holiday, increasing with service, plus full Christmas shutdown
• Holiday buy/sell scheme
• AXA Healthcare helpline for you and your family
• Discounts on popular brands
• Personalised development plan and genuine sales career progression
If you’re looking for a sales role where you can earn well, grow, feel supported, and actually enjoy your working day, this could be a fantastic move.
Get in touch for a confidential chat — I’d love to tell you more.
