Safeguarding Officer
Hours: 36 hours per week, term time only
Required for an immediate start.

In support of this we are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable and inspiring Safeguarding Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our pupils. This includes online safety and ensuring a thorough understanding of the filtering and monitoring system in place.
The Safeguarding Officer role is a dynamic and strategic role, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in collaboration with a range of stakeholders to advise and support on child welfare, safeguarding and wellbeing concerns.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice
• Ability to identify and respond to signs of abuse and neglect
• Excellent communication, organisation and record keeping skills
Desirable:
• Experience in a secondary school setting
• Familiarity with safeguarding software (eg CPOMS)
• Understanding of adolescent safeguarding issues, including on-line safety and contextual safeguarding
