What skills and experience we're looking for
The children, staff, Headteacher and Governors of this ‘Excellent’ Church School (SIAMS February 2020) and ‘Good’ school (Ofsted, March 2023) wish to appoint a Temporary SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from February 2026 to August 2027, this has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate with the opportunity to train as a HLTA as part of this role.
Founded in hope St. Mary’s CE (VA) Primary School is a place where all can find their voice, grow in wisdom and live well in community and service, this ethos underpins all aspects of school life and the actions of everyone within our school community. There is a strong team commitment to improve the outcomes and aspirations of all in the culturally diverse community it serves.
The successful candidate will:
• have high expectations of pupils' achievement and behaviour
• strive to play their part in making learning fun and exciting
• have strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
• have a good standard of English and numeracy, GCSE grade A to C or equivalent in both subject areas
• play a role in the wider life of the school
• value learning outside the classroom
• have experience of working within a school environment.
