Finishing Foreman - New Build Housing
Location: Preston
Pay: £19 - £21 an hour
Job Type: Temporary
We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to join the team on a new build housing development. This role is responsible for overseeing the final stages of construction, ensuring all homes are completed to a high standard, on programme, and ready for handover.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all finishing trades on site

Ensure high-quality finishes in line with drawings, specifications, and company standards

Snagging, quality checks, and managing defect rectification

Supervise subcontractors and direct labour

Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times

Liaise with Site Manager, Project Manager, and subcontractors

Ensure plots are completed on time for client and NHBC/building control inspections

Maintain site records and progress reports as required

Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on new build housing projects

Strong knowledge of finishing trades and quality standards

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

Excellent organisational and communication skills

SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)

CSCS Card (essential)

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
