About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to support the nurture lead of a Nurture Room. You will support the day-to-day management of the Nurture Group with the Lead Nurture Group. The key purpose of the role is to provide high quality care and support for a identified group of pupils with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Objectives
1. Help the nurture lead to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating Nurture Group curriculum for a small group of pupils with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, with support from class teachers and SENCO.
2. Communicate enthusiasm in ways that engage the pupils, fosters their motivation and willingness to learn and contributes to effective learning outcomes being achieved.
3. Contribute to the overall aims, objectives and ethos of this school and its commitment to high standards and securing school improvement.
4. Act as a responsible member of a conscientious team, fulfilling nurture group responsibilities efficiently and effectively, maintaining a welcoming, courteous stance when dealing with children, parents, governors, fellow members of staff and other visitors.
5. Maintain strict confidentiality, given the close contact with children and other members of the school’s staff.
