We are currently looking for a kind, compassionate, and reliable individual to join our small, friendly team in supporting a delightful 97-year-old lady. She is primarily bed-bound and requires gentle assistance with personal care, feeding, and daily hoisting onto the commode. She lives with non-aggressive dementia and receives one-to-one care throughout the day, with two carers present for hoisting and personal care tasks to ensure safety and comfort.

While often non-verbal, she enjoys interaction and conversation and has a truly lovely personality that shines through during moments of engagement. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who values connection and making a genuine difference in someone’s daily life.

The position involves working from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on alternate Sundays, with the option to provide additional holiday cover if desired. You’ll be part of a small, supportive, and flexible team that values trust, empathy, and teamwork.

Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Moving and handling
- Other relevant duties as required

- Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Flexibility and good humour essential

Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
