Site Manager - Barnsley
3-month contract, potential to extend
£20.29 per hour paid weekly
Full time - 37 hours per week
JDR are currently working with the local authority in South Yorkshire to recruit a Site Manager to join the organisation. We're looking for an experienced manager to support a small team to ensure the best outcomes are achieved. The ideal candidate will have worked within a visitor attraction, visitor focused location with a knowledge of the heritage sector.
This role is a 3-month fixed term contract, however there is potential this can extend.
What you'll be doing -
- Responsible for the overall day to day running of the site
- Opening and closing of the buildings
- Carrying out site checks and maintaining health and safety documentation
- Maintenance of internal facilities and asset teams
- Managing and supporting site teams including retail and income management alongside the commercial team
- Working collaboratively with a range of departments
What we're looking for -
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within visitor attraction environment
- Awareness of the health and safety requirements and legislation
- People person who works well with various teams and individuals
- Problem solving skills to be confident dealing with unexpected issues on site
- Excellent communication skills
- Commercial awareness is also advantageous
Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates must be able to pass a DBS and referencing checks.
