Summary

Grounds Maintenance Operative

Have you got the right tools for the job?Our Market Harborough based Grounds Maintenance team need a Team Leader to join them, providing leadership and direction to a team of Operatives.

What could you be doing?Reporting to the Grounds Maintenance Manager you will be leading a team of Operatives based at our Market Harborough depot, ensuring works are completed on time and to the standard required.

The role will involve all aspects of grounds maintenance, including;

-Lawn mowing using pedestrian and ride on mowers

-Hedge cutting and pruning

-Clearing leaves

-Weeding and edging

-Shrubs and seasonal bedding maintenance

-Pesticide application

The working pattern for this role is a permanent annualised contract:    Summer (March - November) 42.5 hours a week Monday to Friday  

Winter (December - February) 32.5 hours a week Monday to Friday 

We want somebody who can:If you love working outdoors, can motivate a team whatever the weather and have experience in all things horticultural then we want to hear from you! You must have experience of leading a team and have a minimum of 2 years' grounds maintenance experience. You must be a self- starter, organised and with great communication skills. Excellent customer care skills and a can-do, up- beat attitude are essential.

You must have a full UK driving licence with B+E trailer towing. You must also hold PA1/PA6 certificates.

This role is for a team based in Market Harborough so you will need to live within a 30 minute commute.
