Crynodeb
Oversee the daytoday running of Dermatology Outpatients, ensuring safe, effective, and patientcentred care. Manage clinic capacity, patient flow, waiting lists, and staffing to meet service demand. Support dermatology pathways including chronic skin conditions, urgent suspected skin cancer, patch testing, and biologics monitoring. Ensure compliance with national guidelines, Trust policies, loneworking arrangements, and robust documentation standards. Resolve operational issues promptly, including equipment faults, clinic readiness, and stock levels. Lead and contribute to service development, pathway redesign, digital improvements, and qualityimprovement initiatives. Work collaboratively with consultants, specialty doctors, nurse specialists, CSWs, and administrative teams. Promote evidencebased dermatology practice and continuous improvement across all outpatient services. Uphold high standards of governance, including risk management, incident reporting, audits, and policy development. Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with Health and Safety, safeguarding, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements. Provide visible clinical leadership, supervising staff, supporting development, and ensuring effective delegation. Support workforce planning, recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, and ongoing competency development. Encourage patient and public involvement to shape service improvements and enhance patient experience. Foster a learning culture built on psychological safety, reflective practice, and continuous improvement Maintain own professional development and support the training, supervision and competency assessment of the Dermatology Outpatient team. Participate in audits and service evaluations to improve clinical standards, safety and quality.
