Personal assistant for mature Autistic woman with ADHD Bedford SW-BB-001
Job Description
- Support with day to day tasks and organising life issues, admin, to do lists, tidying / organising my house together with me.
- Occasional support with appointments i.e.. health related appointments.
Contract Type
Part Time
Permanent
Roles and Responsibilities
- Confidentiality agreement
- Duty of care – needs to contact other professionals as needed.
- Must be reliable and excellent at communicating, i.e. if unavailable due to sickness or holidays.
Specific Requirements
- Experience and awareness working with autistic adults
- Experience and awareness of mental health issues and how to support someone who is in crisis
- Practically minded and solution focused
- Good life experience and mature woman preferred (females only)
- Good verbal and written English
- Good admin and organisational skills (co-creating lists such as for meal prep and shopping, prioritising tasks etc).
- Good natured and sense of humour – must have ‘common sense’
- Able to keep me on task and focused / direct and assertive but kind and supportive
- Someone who does things with me not for me but can help me with my overwhelm
Required Training
- Completed autism awareness training or willingness to complete e.g. Oliver McGowan training
- First Aid course completed
