To support a young lady in Felixstowe to lead an active, happy and enriched life.
About me
We are looking for an active, calm and understanding person to join E’s existing dedicated team of Personal Assistants. It is important that the person joining the team will know when to step back and allow E to explore new opportunities.
E is an active young lady with ASD and challenging behaviour, SPD, PDA and communication issues. An understanding of ASD and its associated difficulties will be required.
E’s mother and sister are her Court Appointed Deputies. You will be employed by E’s mother, but you will mainly report to your Team Leader.
No phone use whilst supporting E in the community or whilst attention and support is required.
No smoking whilst supporting E.

To enable E to:
Access the community
Lead an active life
Maintain her health and care
Explore opportunities
Access activities
Live her life

Driving license and access to own vehicle and be willing to drive E around.
Active and motivated

Good ASD awareness

Previous experience in a similar role

Hours, days and times of work:
Relief / holiday cover
5 hours on a Friday 9:30- 2:30pm
Must we ok with Sleep in nights and weekends.
Pay rate:
£16 per hour day rate
£75 per night – sleep in night rate
Double pay for work on bank holiday
Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme but I will fulfil my statutory obligations via the NEST pension scheme.
