Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a primary school in the WA5 postcode of Warrington that is easily accessible via public transport as they require a flexible and motivated Level 3 teaching assistant to join their team on a long-term temporary basis for a part-time 30-hour contract. In this role you will be supporting all class teachers across KS1 and KS2 on a required basis, offering academic interventions to pupils across the schools to ensure that they all reach their full academic potential. As this is a very varied role supporting across the school, you will need to be flexible. Your core duties will include:
- Planning and delivering compressive interventions in required academic areas dependent on student shortfalls, i.e., numeracy, literacy, phonics, reading, etc
- Holding intense small group interventions with similar ability pupils within a separate classroom
- Assisting with behaviour management
- Recording accurate progress and recognising key milestones
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, have relevant referenceable classroom experience across KS1 and KS2, and:
- Be at least Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualified
- Have experience planning and delivering interventions in core subjects
- Good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 national curriculums
