Neway International are seeking a Business Support Admin Assistant to join our client Birmingham Children’s Trust.

Location: One Avenue, Birmingham
Hours: 36.5 per week, 08:45 – 17:15
Start Date: 26 January 2026
Contract Type: Secondment Cover (5–6 months)

About the Role
The Business Support Admin Assistant (Grade 2) will provide essential administrative and clerical support across a range of services within the Trust. This role covers a secondment and requires someone who can work flexibly across multiple teams and locations, attending the office at least two days per week.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing high‑quality professional support to internal and external customers

Delivering reception and switchboard duties, along with general clerical support

Supporting meetings, including note‑taking and timely distribution of outputs

Maintaining and operating administrative systems with accuracy and consistency

Handling business and financial processes, including dealing with queries and handling monies

Maintaining accurate data and records in line with data protection requirements

Upholding confidentiality, safety and security at all times

Working flexibly across services and adapting to changing priorities

Contributing to effective service delivery through strong organisation and attention to detail

Candidate Requirements
Essential:

Excellent communication skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to build effective relationships

High attention to detail and consistency

Ability to work flexibly and manage changing priorities

Good IT literacy and confidence using administrative systems

Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow data protection principles

Desirable:

Ability to identify opportunities to improve systems and processes

Qualifications
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (Grade C or above)

A good standard of general education with strong literacy and numeracy
