What skills and experience we're looking for
The Crypt School is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join our high-achieving grammar school on a temporary maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will inspire and challenge students across all ability levels, delivering engaging and effective lessons that foster a love of learning and mathematical thinking. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking department that values academic excellence and professional growth.
We welcome applications from colleagues who enjoy working as part of a team and who seek to contribute actively to the promotion of achievement and enrichment activities throughout the School. Ultimately, we are seeking teachers who will enthuse pupils in this oversubscribed selective school.
What the school offers its staff
The Crypt School is an exciting and vibrant environment in which to teach and to learn, and our commitment to developing staff has been recognised by an Investors in People Gold award. We benefit from a supportive culture and a diverse and enthusiastic pupil body. All staff contribute to the wider life of the School and we welcome applications from colleagues who want to make a real difference to our school and the lives of the pupils who attend.
The Crypt School is an equal opportunity employer, and we value having a workforce as diverse as the city and region we serve. We therefore welcome, develop and promote people from all sections of the community, and we particularly welcome applications from groups who are currently under-represented within our workforce such as from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates and disabled candidates. The aim of our policy is to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
Our recruitment selection criteria and procedures are frequently reviewed to ensure that individuals are selected, promoted and treated on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities and that no applicant or employee is disadvantaged by provisions, criteria or practices which cannot be shown to be justified.
