What we're after and what we offer We are looking to recruit a Physician Associate (GMC Registration essential and ideally with MSc) enthusiastic about primary care. Some primary care experience would be an advantage but no previous working experience is necessary to apply for the role and we are happy to consider a newly qualified PA. The key offer for PA's is: Induction programme with experienced GP; 8 embedded PAs in practices who are an excellent resource for training and support. Supervising GP has presented at annual PA Conference and we are a PA training practice. Weekly tutorial for all PAs and supervising GP to present cases and clinical topics. Other clinical meetings (eg MDM). Close support and supervision from mentor GP 15 minutes appointments Practice written Physician Associate Handbook (70 pages) Varied portfolio (mainly face to face and telephone/video consultations but also virtual correspondence clinic, home visits, medicals, reports, lab results on occasion.) GP bag and all kit provided This is a full time, 37.5 hour week role. Working schedule will comprise majority time providing first point of contact care for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems utilising clinical skills. Westbury Medical Centre is a traditional modern GP Surgery. All consulting rooms have air conditioning.
