You’ll be there to support learning, build confidence, and help pupils develop independence in a calm, structured, and encouraging environment.
Who We’re Hoping to Hear FromYou don’t need school-based experience to apply. Many of our strongest SEND Teaching Assistants come from backgrounds such as:
-
Care or support work

-
Community or voluntary roles
If you’re patient, empathetic, and comfortable supporting individuals who may display emotional or behavioural challenges, this could be a great next step for you.
What You’ll Be Doing-
Supporting pupils in lessons and helping them stay engaged
-
Encouraging independence and everyday life skills
-
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
-
Assisting with a mix of classroom, practical, and outdoor activities
-
Helping create a safe, positive environment where pupils feel valued and understood
What We Value-
A calm, caring, and reliable approach
-
A genuine interest in supporting children with SEND
-
The ability to stay patient and positive during challenging moments
