£15 – £18 per hour depending on experience (£31.2k – £37.4k FTE based on 40 hours)
DC Personnel are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our client’s Finance team based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to play a key role in ensuring financial compliance and supporting business performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director, providing regular updates on financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement financial strategies to improve cost control and optimise resource allocation
• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including supporting reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain accurate financial records
• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to provide insights into financial performance
• Review financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to support organisational objectives through effective financial planning
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment that supports professional development
Requirements:
• Essential knowledge and experience using Sage accounting software
• Strong Excel skills with experience in reporting
• Experience and knowledge of payroll
• Proven experience across daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A positive, proactive approach to work
• A strong team player with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
