Summary
Chef – Barclays Catering (Temporary)
Location: Glasgow City Centre (G5 8DP)
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary

We are recruiting an experienced Chef to support Barclays Catering at a secure corporate site in Glasgow. This temporary role is covering vacancies created by leavers and requires full compliance with Barclays site security and vetting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking high-quality food within a corporate catering environment
Maintaining excellent food hygiene, allergen control, and health & safety standards
Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations and service
Working as part of a professional on-site catering team
Ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation
Compliance Requirements (Essential)
Due to the nature of the Barclays site, all candidates must be able to pass the following:
Enhanced DBS check (financial services / banking environment)
Right to Work in the UK – original documents required
5-year employment history (with explanations for any gaps)
Adverse credit check
Basic criminal record check (no unspent convictions)
Proof of address and identity
Willingness to complete Barclays onboarding and site induction
Applications that cannot meet these compliance requirements will not be progressed.

Proven experience working as a Chef (contract catering experience preferred)
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
Reliable, punctual, and professional
