Warehouse Operative | Burntwood, Staffordshire | Full Time | £26,000–£28,000

Are you the right person for the job?

Our client is looking for a reliable, hands-on individual with a strong work ethic who can adapt to different areas of a warehouse/workshop environment. You’ll ideally have a stable employment history and previous warehouse or workshop experience, along with:

• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Willingness to learn and develop through company-provided training
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work accurately under pressure
• Counterbalance or pivot-steer FLT licence preferred, but not essential

What will your role look like?

This role is primarily focused on Goods-In, with flexibility to support other warehouse and dispatch areas as required.

Goods-In / Warehouse Duties

• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Processing and understanding shipment paperwork
• Identifying components and matching them to delivery documentation
• Stocking shelves accurately by learning warehouse locations
• Picking components for Mechanical Fitters in line with paperwork
• Maintaining a structured, tidy, and organised working environment
• Liaising with the Operations Manager to resolve any issues
• General housekeeping and upkeep of equipment
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required

Despatch Duties

• Basic data entry using courier booking software
• Understanding packing documentation to ensure accuracy
• Packing goods securely, correctly, and presentably

Health & Safety

• Complying with all health and safety legislation and company procedures
• Completing health and safety training as required
• Exercising a duty of care to yourself, colleagues, customers, and visitors
• Wearing and using PPE as provided
• Using equipment in line with instructions and safety guidelines
