A lovely midday supervisor role for a friendly primary school.

Your new school
Lift Beacon is a thriving Primary Academy in Loughborough, serving children aged 2 to 11 years old. We are dedicated to ensuring that every child receives an excellent education every day, with high expectations, a broad and enriching curriculum, and a strong focus on personal development.
The school was graded 'good' in all areas in 2021 by Ofsted and has gone from strength to strength since. It is an IQM (Inclusion Quality Mark ) Centre of Excellence school and is passionate about providing the best opportunities for its pupils. In January 2024 we appointed an ambitious Principal, Mr Ben Kilgannon, who lives locally and is hugely passionate about the school, its community and staff. As a hands-on Principal, he is a big believer in working collaboratively and continuously developing staff to ensure all pupils reach their full potential. Beacon Academy is the epitome of teamwork where everyone feels valued and heard.

Your new role
The school is a vibrant and very busy school with a friendly culture and we are looking for a Midday Supervisor to take care of all students on the school premises during any breaktime hours when students are not in class. The role is critical in ensuring the safety, welfare and positive behaviour of students, supervising students in dining areas, playgrounds and other designated areas within the school premises to create a safe and enjoyable breaktime experience.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience of supervising children or young people as a parent or carer with the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and be able to resolve problems independently and use initiative.
The role is due to commence ASAP. This is a permanent position.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
Lift Schools is committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and we expect all our colleagues and volunteers to share this commitment. We adopt a fair and consistent recruitment process which is in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. This includes online checks for shortlisted candidates. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check. Lift Schools embraces diversity and promotes equality of opportunity. Job share, part-time and flexible working opportunities will be considered. We are a Disability Confident Employer and there is a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates with disabilities who meet the minimum selection criteria.
