Manpower is recruiting Part Time Production Operatives to work for our client, based near Peffermill, Edinburgh .You will work within the factory on the production line packing food products, cleaning equipment and completing some general warehousing duties.

Please note that our client have changing requirements every week so if you are flexible between days you can work and looking for 1-3 shifts a week, this role would be suitable for you.

Hours and benefits

  • Mixture of Dayshift and Backshifts available
  • Dayshift 06:30 - 14:30
  • Backshift -14:30 - 22:30
  • All breaks are paid breaks
  • £12.40 Per hour, rising to £12.65 after 12 weeks.
  • Overtime after 8 hours paid at 1.5X base rate.

Duties involved

As a Production Operative, your main responsibilities will include:

* Checking products for quality on the production line and removing defective items
* Keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels
* May be some heavy lifting involved loading products onto pallets


The ideal candidate will have:

* Good observational skills to spot defective products
* Patience to carry out repetitive tasks
* The ability to work quickly to meet production targets
* Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own
* The ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures


All candidates must complete an online health and safety induction online before commencing work. Successful completion of induction includes a 2 hour payment for induction time, after completing 1 full shift.
