Weekly Pay: £460-£500
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Long-Term with the opportunity to become permanent

Long Term Futures are working closely with a welcoming, two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ASD and ADHD. The pupil benefits from clear routines, calm communication and consistent adult support to stay focused, regulate emotions and access learning successfully.
This is a long-term role with real stability and the chance to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role
- Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
- Support emotional regulation, attention, and positive behaviour using agreed behaviour plans
- Deliver targeted interventions and scaffold learning to support progress across the KS2 curriculum
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
- Track progress, celebrate achievements, and contribute to review meetings
- Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil to promote confidence and independence


What We're Looking For
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs
- Confident using de-escalation techniques and consistent behaviour strategies
- Strong understanding of KS2 expectations and SEN-inclusive classroom practice
- Calm, patient, and reliable approach with excellent communication skills
- A team-player mindset when working with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
