Crynodeb
The post holder will cover the Acute Medical Unit wards. Ensuring patients with nutritional needs are seen in a timely manner and first line nutrition advice started to support the flow of nutrition patients through the hospital. Also supporting the AMU wards when more complex nutrition and tube fed patients are admitted. In the current climate patients are spending longer in the emergency department. This post ensures those with complex nutrition needs and tube fed patients have nutrition care in the emergency department as required. The post holder will work closely with all members of the MDT to provide expert dietetic care to our patients. The post holder would be expected to attend Consultant ward rounds and MDT meetings work closely with the Trust's Complex Nutrition Team. The post holder would be expected to provide regular nutrition training sessions to the AMU wards and offer "bitesize" training to the emergency department. The post holder would be expected to continue the work of service improvement on these wards to ensure patient care continues to be the most effective and supporting the flow of nutrition patients through the hospital to discharge. The post holder would link in with the Consultant Dietitian to support improvements to food and enteral feed provision at our hospitals.
