Job Description:
Just Temps are supporting our Client on the edge of Haverhill, they are looking to recruit a Hygiene Operative for their Night Shift, working Thursday to Monday Nights.
Job Role:
To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the site, ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company hygiene standards.
Working times and Days
Hours: 9:30pm - 6am
Days: Thursday to Monday NIGHTS
Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily and deep-cleaning tasks in production, warehouse, or facility areas
Clean and sanitise equipment, machinery, floors, walls, and work surfaces
Follow cleaning schedules, methods, and chemical usage instructions
Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
Complete hygiene records, checklists, and documentation accurately
Identify and report hygiene risks, damage, or maintenance issues
Support audits and inspections (e.g. BRC, HACCP, ISO, EHO visits)
Adhere to all Health & Safety, PPE, and COSHH requirements
Work effectively as part of the hygiene and operations team
Maintain high personal hygiene standards at all times
Skills & Competencies
Good attention to detail
Ability to follow procedures and instructions
Understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
Physically able to carry out manual cleaning tasks
Good time management and reliability
Basic literacy and numeracy for record keeping
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
Experience in a hygiene, cleaning, or operations role
Awareness of Health & Safety procedures
Desirable:
Experience in food manufacturing, healthcare, or industrial environment
