Job Title: SHEQ Manager (Health and Safety Manager)
Location: Mitcham
Contract: Full time, permanent

George Killoughery Ltd are a Construction Services company who providing a variety of Aggregates, Logistics, Waste Management and Infrastructure Services. We have a reputation for quality of service in the market and work closely with a variety of clients including most major UK Construction Contractors.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a SHEQ Manager within our successful team in Mitcham.


KEY Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Maintain and co-ordinate health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance to health and safety regulations by all employees and contractors of the business.
• Preparing method statements and risk assessments.
• Site inspections - Identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks.
• Recording and investigating incidents, accidents and complaints.
• Investigate any health and safety issues raised.
• Attend training courses as required to enable you to develop your skills and knowledge through continuous professional development.
• Conducting in-house training sessions on health and safety awareness
• Maintain all company accreditations (e.g. Avetta, Constructionline etc).
• Keep up to date the safe operational practices ensuring adherence to any changes in legislation.



KEY Skills & Knowledge


• Experience of working in a waste management or construction environment
• Strong analytical problem solving and organizational skills
• NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to communicate in verbal and written forms at all levels
• Ability to give constructive feedback to all levels of staff
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
• Full driving licence

Experience/knowledge of transport or environmental compliance is advantageous.
