Community Care Assistant - Isle of Wight

Pay: £16.07 to £19.99 per hour

We are looking for an exceptional Community Care Assistant to join the Newcross team on the Isle of Wight. You will be part of a supportive and rewarding environment where your work truly matters.

As a Community Care Worker, you will provide life enhancing, person centred care to people in their own homes. Your compassion and dedication will help people live safely, with dignity and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

Personal care and support: Assisting with daily routines to promote comfort and wellbeing.
Companionship: Offering warmth, kindness and a friendly face.
Live-in care: Providing round-the-clock care for those who need it most.
Promoting independence: Encouraging clients to live fulfilled lives with autonomy.
Medication support: Safe and timely administration of medication.
Specialist clinical care: Supporting clients with complex needs confidently and competently.
Palliative and end of life care: Providing compassionate care during life's most sensitive moments.

What we are looking for:

• At least 3 months of paid professional care experience, or personal care experience in the UK.
• Confidence supporting individuals with limited mobility.
• The right to work in the UK.
• Experience with complex care is preferred but not essential. Full training is provided.
• Registration required for applicants in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, such as SSSC, SCW, or NISCC. This does not apply in England.
• Ability to understand spoken and written English to follow care plans and communicate clearly.
• Personal qualities including empathy, integrity, respect, teamwork, and a commitment to high quality care.
