What skills and experience we're looking for

Buildings Supervisor (37 hours a week, 52 weeks per year over a split shift 7.00am to 11.00am and 2.30pm to 6.00pm with a 5.30pm finish on Friday)

Sheffield South East Trust is seeking to appoint a Buildings Supervisor to join our committed and caring whole school team at Norfolk Community Primary School, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be required to assist in ensuring the school site is in a clean, tidy and presentable condition at all times and that it provides a safe and secure environment for pupils/students, staff, parents/carers and visitors.

The ideal candidate will:

• be highly motivated and willing to work hard to make a difference for the school community
• be efficient, flexible and well organised.
• uphold a commitment to health and safety
• comply with the school’s systems, policies and procedures
• carry out delegated statutory checks, maintaining appropriate logs, records and reports
• support the general upkeep of the site and buildings, including maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, carpentry, decorating)
• be responsible for supervising and assisting the cleaning team in their duties
• take the necessary steps to secure the site including opening and locking the site on a daily basis
• be First Aid trained or prepared to undertake First Aid training
• liaise with staff across the school and provide assistance as problems arise
