Summary
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I’m a 57-year-old gentleman with MS from Aberdare and I am a full-time wheelchair user.
I do not take life too seriously and prefer laughs and banter to get through the days. I do not like modern music and prefer rock music. I also like online shopping but do need help doing this. I also enjoy having tattoos so have regular trips to the tattoo studio. I have 2 house cats Derek and Jasper that love everybody
PURPOSE OF JOB
Looking for a PA to help with general chores around the home, preparing food and drinks, assistance with feeding and drinking and personal care including showering, full track hoist used.
HOURS OF WORK
32 hours per week available and covering hours when my other PAs are away.
If you are interested please apply with the number of hours you are willing to offer even if you cannot work the full 32 hours.
RATES OF PAY
£12.90 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
Supervising me out in the community
Car transfers to ensure I am always safe.
Assisting me during activities in the community.
Assisting me with meals.
Helping with domestic tasks
Preparing food and drink for me
Personal care support including showering.
Help with online shopping.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Car driver/owner with business class insurance.
Patient and an understanding of how my condition affects me.
Experience in the care sector desirable.
Must be a non-smoker
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
