Crynodeb
We are seeking a reliable and flexible driver to support a professional bagpiper and DJ travelling to gigs across Scotland. The role is based from our office in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
This is a temporary position running through to the end of October 2026, ideal for someone who enjoys working in the live events/music industry and is happy with varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the artist safely to and from gigs across Scotland
• Operate the company van (UK clean driving licence required)
• Assist with loading, unloading, and setting up disco equipment
• Take photos and short videos at events for social media (training provided)
• Remain onsite during events when required (free time during performances, aside from agreed duties)
Working Hours
• Variable hours, depending on gig schedule
• Availability required daytime and nighttime, 7 days a week
• A monthly schedule will be provided in advance to confirm availability
• During gigs, once duties are complete, you may wait onsite or are free to do your own thing until collection time
Pay & Conditions
• £13.45 per hour (Real Living Wage)
• Hourly pay calculated from pickup at the office to drop-off back at the office
• Paid on a rolling monthly basis
• Holiday pay accrued and paid based on hours worked each month
• Any personal fuel use during free time at gigs will be deducted by prior agreement
Requirements
• Clean UK driving licence
• Confident driving a van
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Comfortable with flexible and unsociable hours
• Willingness to assist with equipment and learn new skills
• Basic smartphone skills for photos/videos (training provided)
Desirable (but not essential)
• Interest in music, events, or social media
• Previous experience in driving, events, or touring
