Post: Full Time Female* Domiciliary Care Worker (Contracted Hours)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas.
Salary: £26,703 a year based on full time hours.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 38 hours per week
Annual Leave: 28 days per annum
Shift patterns are between the hours of 7:00 – 22:00 across Monday to Sunday on a rotational basis. Split days available.

Led by our experienced Registered Nurse, we support individuals to remain within their own homes- supporting them with all aspects of daily tasks & encouraging them to remain independent.
We believe that to achieve this our staff must feel valued, and we pride ourselves on developing strong relationships with staff members, encouraging internal progression.
Main responsibilities:
· Support personal care, including washing, dressing and other personal tasks
· Assist with mobility and physical needs
· Prepare meals and assisting with eating and drinking
· Prompt or administer medication in line with care plans
· Offer companionship and emotional support
· Document client activities, progress, and any changes in their health or well-being
· Carry out light domestic tasks and general housekeeping
· Help clients access the community and attend appointments or social activities
· Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, their families, and professionals
· Clinical support where required ( full training provided).
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate ability to verbally communicate clearly and patiently to be able to build strong, trusting relationships with clients. It is also necessary for accurately recording daily care plans and reporting any changes to supervisors and management.
Essential requirements
· A compassionate and patient-focused attitude. We value the right attitude and a commitment to providing excellent care above all else
· Reliable and organised with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care
· The legal right to work in the UK (if applicable)
· A valid Update Service Enhanced Adult and Child Workforce Disclosure and Barring Service check (or willingness to obtain one)
· Full driving licence with access to own vehicle with Certificate of Business Car Insurance
· UK based work experience in Health and Social Care
· Good verbal and written English skills
· Qualification in Health and Social Care
