About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a thriving school in Barnet. The successful candidate will support teaching staff in delivering high-quality education, helping students to achieve their full potential. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in January 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
Provide individual and group support to students, including those with additional learning needs.
Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Prepare and organise resources for lessons and activities.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers as required.
Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and educational visits.
Support the development of students’ social and emotional skills.
Ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A commitment to supporting the learning and development of all students.
Must have a valid DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
