About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, as a Family Support Worker with a Locality Specialism.

There are 2 roles available – please indicate which you are applying for in your application:

  1. 1 x 37 hours per week, Fixed Term / Secondment for 1 year
  2. 1 x 25.9 hours per week, Fixed Term / Secondment for 3 years, 2 months

We work across the Hinckley and Bosworth area and work alongside other agencies such as health, schools, social care and community organisations to support children and their families.

You will support them doing one to one work in the home, or may see them running drop-in sessions or groups within our Family Hubs, come and join our team and help improve outcomes for our Children and their Families…

An enhanced DBS with barred list check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must have:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, e.g. social care, health or childcare, OR substantial experience in providing direct support to families that clearly demonstrates the experience, skills, competencies and knowledge outlined below
  • Experience of identifying and delivering appropriate evidence-based interventions, groups and clinics
  • Knowledge of child development and Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Experience of carrying out assessments, support planning, formulating action plans and reporting outcomes
  • An understanding of the impact of discrimination on the lives of those from minority ethnic communities and others that experience social exclusion, and an ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven ability to recognise Child Protection issues and Safeguarding practice
  • Experience of working in a multi-agency environment.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.

In addition, we expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.
