Torus are looking for an experienced Scheme Manager to join our Sheltered Team, supporting older and vulnerable tenants to live
independently and safely. In this role, you will work with residents, families, and partner organisations to provide tailored
support, oversee wellbeing checks, manage day-to-day issues, and ensure schemes operate smoothly and compliantly. You will also
play a key role in tenant engagement, inductions, and fostering a connected, inclusive community.

This is a part-time role, working 18.5 hours per week.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Triage housing services to ensure compliance and refer to specialist teams
* Respond to resident, contractor, and agency enquiries on site
* Manage low-level disputes and liaise with the Safer Estates Team
* Organise and attend monthly tenant engagement sessions
* Assist in lettings through risk and needs assessments to ensure appropriate allocations
* Ensuring the safety of the schemes including carrying out routine Health and Safety inspections and weekly fire alarm tests.
* Conduct joint property viewings and promote sheltered housing benefits
* Support new residents with induction, safety checks, and property guidance
* Ensure residents can use communal facilities effectively
* Deliver case management, including wellbeing checks and annual reviews
* Respond to emergency calls while on duty
* Support tenants to sustain tenancies, understand rights, and access services
* Advise on low-level rent arrears and liaise with the Income team
* Explain digital services for rent and repair reporting
* Triage domestic abuse incidents per company standards
* Assist with welfare benefit applications and provide guidance
What We’re Looking For:
* Have a passion for working to improve the lives of older people
* Track record of completing assessments and developing support plans with targets and outcomes for clients
* Experience of crisis management, risk minimisation and making decisions in difficult situations.
* Demonstrable experience of working within a sheltered housing environment, housing and or social care sector, with older and
vulnerable people.
* Experience of working with statutory agencies and the voluntary sector
* The skills to manage relationships with tenants including challenging non-compliance
* CIH level 3 or willingness to work towards.
* Full, clean UK driving licence
Interview Process:
* Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of competency-based questions. Interviews will take place week
commencing
