Summary
Post 4 Hours per week - Must be available Thursday mornings. Are you passionate about supporting children and families in a welcoming, play-based environment? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Family and Young Persons Support Officer to help bring fun, creativity, and connection to our community's youngest members. This post may be suitable for an individual wanting additional hours to top up another role, or something to fit around childcare/ other commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan a fun and engaging weekly programme before leading the Stay and Play each Thursday in term time
• Set up and pack down the play equipment with care and energy
• Help prepare and serve refreshments during each session
• Bring stories to life and lead singing time to end each session on a high note
• Support other child-focused initiatives from the Community Council on an ad-hoc basis
• Undertake training relevant to your post to support role development.
What We're Looking For:
• An individual with a passion for young children and family engagement
• Reliability and a collaborative mindset
• Confidence to lead story time and singalongs
• An organised individual who can communicate weekly materials in advance.
• Whether you're an experienced early years practitioner or simply someone who thrives in a community setting, we'd love to hear from you.
