School Site Manager
Location: Crumpsall, Manchester
Contract: Full-time Temporary (Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm) – ongoing opportunity
Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a proactive and dependable Site Manager to join a school in Crumpsall. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring the smooth running, safety, and maintenance of the school site. The successful candidate will have strong practical skills, excellent organisation, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and security of the school site.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Manage and monitor health & safety compliance, including fire alarm testing, Legionella checks, and risk assessments.
• Ensure the site is clean, safe, and operational for pupils and staff.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required.
• Support school events with setup and site logistics.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and compliance activities.
Key Requirements:
• Previous experience as a School Caretaker or Site Manager.
• Strong maintenance and practical DIY skills.
• Good understanding of compliance and health & safety regulations (e.g., fire safety, Legionella).
• Organised, reliable, and able to manage workload independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A current Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Availability to start immediately.
