Crynodeb
Main Responsibilities: Supervising and managing a team of radiographers undertaking modality specific imaging procedures Undertaking MR scans in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines, policies and protocols To actively engage in service development in conjunction with the Clinical Director To act as a mentor the radiographers where needed to ensure efficiency and smooth running of lists. Conducting competency assessments at regular intervals, ensuring any development needs are identified and followed up Active involvement in the recruitment, appointment and induction of new clinical staff Involvement with rotas and ensuring staffing cover for clinical staff where required Ensuring good communication is maintained within the team and between the department and the rest of the clinic, to deliver a smooth-running service Dealing with day-to-day staff queries, liaising with appropriate support functions as necessary including the Senior Leadership team, HR and finance. Taking ownership of governance activities i.e. audits, personal development, and team meetings with the support of your colleagues. Performance management of the team including appraisals. To ensure that the unit is organised and well-presented and reflects the expectations of our service users Applicants should also be competent in IV cannulation (ideally with SOR accreditation) and evidence current practice through CPD /mandatory training.
