Full time hours, 9-17.00
3 month contract, starting as soon as possible

This is frontline work where your experience counts — fast-paced, people-centred, and driven by real outcomes.
We’re seeking a Housing Support Officer with first-hand experience supporting people affected by housing-related issues and rough sleeping. You’ll work directly with individuals and families at critical points, providing practical support, clear advocacy, and solutions that genuinely move people forward.
This is a short-term role for someone who can step in confidently, take ownership, and start making an impact from day one.

The Role
• Provide targeted housing-related support to individuals and families experiencing instability
• Work directly with people affected by rough sleeping and associated vulnerabilities
• Advocate effectively to help clients navigate housing pathways and support services
• Build strong working relationships with local authorities, housing providers, and voluntary sector partners
• Manage a diverse caseload with professionalism, autonomy, and focus
Person Specification

Essential
• Proven, hands-on experience supporting people with housing-related issues and/or rough sleeping
• Experience working with vulnerable individuals or families in crisis
• Strong understanding of homelessness pressures, housing pathways, and support options
• Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and make sound decisions
• Excellent communication skills with a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach

Desirable
• Experience within housing support, homelessness, family support, or community services
• Knowledge of local authority and/or voluntary sector environments
• Confidence working collaboratively within multi-agency settings
3 months. Immediate impact. Meaningful work.
If you’ve got the experience, resilience, and drive to deliver real change, we want to hear from you.
