We’re looking for a smart, commercially-minded Content Writer to join our team and help grow several high-traffic websites in construction, home improvement and services.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how content actually drives traffic, rankings and enquiries — not just someone who can write words.
What you’ll be doing:
Writing and optimising SEO-focused content (blogs, service pages, location pages, comparisons, guides)
Improving and expanding existing content to increase rankings and conversions
Researching keywords, search intent and competitors before writing
Structuring content properly (headings, internal links, entities, FAQs, schema where relevant)
Working closely with our SEO strategy to support traffic and lead growth
What we’re looking for:
Strong written English (UK spelling and tone)
Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals (search intent, topical authority, internal linking, on-page optimisation)
Ability to write both informative content and commercial/service pages
Comfortable researching unfamiliar topics and becoming “subject-matter competent” quickly
Reliable, organised and able to hit deadlines
Nice to have (not essential):
Experience with Ahrefs, GSC, Semrush or similar tools
Experience writing for construction, home services, or technical industries
Understanding of E-E-A-T and how to demonstrate trust in content
