An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving independent small animal practice in East London, where a genuine culture sits at the heart of everything they do. This welcoming practice has built a positive, supportive environment that allows its people to flourish while delivering the very highest standards of care. Independence is truly valued here, with clinical opinions respected and collaboration encouraged across the entire team.

The practice is thoughtfully designed to optimise both workflow and comfort, creating a calm, efficient space for patients and staff. Modern facilities include separate consultation rooms, dedicated cat and dog wards complete with stress reducing diffusers, a well-equipped preparation area, and a state-of-the-art operating theatre. Alongside this, the clinic boasts an impressive range of advanced equipment, including ultrasound, multi-parameter monitoring, IMAGYST in-house blood and urine analysers, K-Laser therapy, fluid warmers, digital and dental X-ray, enabling clinicians to work up cases thoroughly and confidently in-house.

This is a highly collaborative environment, supported by visiting orthopaedic and cardiology specialists who enhance the breadth and depth of clinical services on offer. The practice also has a strong commitment to animal welfare, working closely with several charities, giving the role real purpose beyond the consulting room. Team members are encouraged to share ideas, support one another, and continually raise clinical standards together.

The role is ideally suited to a confident Veterinary Surgeon with 3–5 years’ experience who enjoys both medicine and surgery and thrives in a senior, influential position. With a high degree of clinical autonomy, the successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues, shaping clinical direction across the practice, and contributing to its continued growth. There is genuine encouragement to pursue special interests, certificates, and further qualifications, making this a standout opportunity for a driven clinician looking to develop, lead, and make a lasting impact within a progressive independent practice in East London!
