We are seeking Bank Mental Health Support Workers to join our dedicated Residential Care team. This vital role is key to ensuring our residents lead meaningful lives and feel connected to their community.
About the RoleAs a Mental Health Support Worker, you will deliver exceptional care and support to residents within our Mental Health Care Homes. This includes assisting with personal care, administering medication, and supporting residents in daily activities that promote choice, independence, and dignity.
You will be working at our Sidney Corob House, providing care for adults aged 50+ with mental health needs, and Jack Gardner House, a safe and welcoming home for Jewish adults aged 18+ with mental health needs.
- Sidney Corob House, is based at 122-126 Fortune Green Road, London, NW6 1DN
- Jack Gardner House, 184–186 Golders Green Road, London, NW11 9AG
This post is working various shifts on a bank basis which includes nights, weekends, and evening shifts. You will be asked to cover the following shifts:
Shift Pattern (Weekly Rota):
- 2 x Morning Shifts: 8am – 4pm
- 1 x Long Day Shift: 8am – 10pm
- 1 x Night Shift: 10pm – 8am
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Provide personal care, assist with meals, and administer medication.
- Support residents in their daily routines to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist in organising and participating in recreational activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders to provide holistic support.
We are seeking individuals who are compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of people with mental health needs. You will ideally have:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions.
- Experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, ideally in a residential care setting.
- Experience providing personal care, administering medication, and completing risk assessments.
- The ability to engage and motivate individuals with complex needs.
- Experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
