Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Project Manager to join the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) at the University of Oxford. The post holder will manage two James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnerships (JLA PSPs): Hip and Knee Replacement for Osteoarthritis; and Bone and Joint Infection. The post holder will work closely with the PSP Leads, Steering Groups and JLA Advisors, ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with JLA protocols.
As Research Project Manager, you will independently scope, plan, and manage the execution of detailed project plans to ensure delivery of key outcomes within agreed timelines and University standards and lead the project team, providing overall direction, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring sufficient resourcing to meet project objectives. You will monitor project milestones and overall progress, identifying risks, scope changes, or issues, and implementing corrective actions as required. You will also conduct post-project reviews to evaluate impact, document lessons learned and make recommendations for future improvements
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience). Proven healthcare project management experience through the full lifecycle, along with demonstrable experience of budget monitoring and financial management is essential. Previous experience of James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnerships and experience of orthopaedic research projects are desirable.
