Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Accounts & Finance Administrator to support the day-to-day financial operations of our business.
This role involves bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations, credit control and payroll support. You will work closely with the small team and external accountants to ensure accurate financial records and smooth processes.
This position would suit someone with previous accounts or bookkeeping experience who enjoys working methodically and taking ownership of finance tasks.
Main duties
• Monitor Stripe payments and transaction charges
• Raise and manage sales invoices in Zoho
• Allocate BACS and Stripe payments to invoices
• Reconcile bank, Stripe and credit card accounts
• Maintain booking and payment spreadsheets
• Liaise with the office team
• Process supplier invoices and manage filing of receipts
• Run debtor reports, issue statements and follow up overdue accounts
• Make supplier payments and process customer refunds
• Assist with monthly management accounts, journals and reporting
• Process monthly payroll using BrightPay
• Make HMRC PAYE and pension payments
• Prepare VAT reports and support quarterly VAT returns
• Assist with year-end reconciliations and control accounts
• Complete general finance administration as required
Skills and experience
• Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
• Confident using accounting software (Zoho, Xero or similar)
• Experience with bank reconciliations and invoicing
• Good Excel and spreadsheet skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Desirable
• Experience using Stripe
• Payroll experience (BrightPay preferred)
• VAT return preparation experience
