Crynodeb
To work as Room Leader for the After School Club and Holiday Club caring for children from 4 - 11 years providing a safe, secure, and stimulating environment.
Main responsibilities and duties
• To ensure at all times the physical and emotional security of all children, bringing to the attention of the Childcare Manager anything about a child which gives cause for concern.
• To participate in planning and implementation.
• To review children’s activities.
• To provide play experiences for the children in line with the policy of the Childcare Setting. This will include creative activities, role play, and outside play.
• To be involved in the development of other staff, including training, assessment, monitoring and supervision.
• To pay particular attention to the children’s physical well being when engaged in activities.
• To bring to the attention of the Childcare Manager any equipment that may be of danger
• Share responsibility for the care, presentation, display, safety, organization and appearance of the facilities and equipment.
• To be aware of hygiene standards and ensure that they are met in line with the Childcare Policy.
• To work positively with team members.
• To attend staff meetings.
• Be committed to the principles of equality of opportunity for all.
• Read, discuss, understand and implement all policies.
• Encourage parental involvement.
• To maintain a strict confidentiality code at all times.
• To inform the Childcare Manager if staffing levels are not met because of an emergency.
• To administer medications as necessary
• To supervise children on outings and events and ensure all safety recommendations are met
