Crynodeb
We are looking for two enthusiastic Senior Paediatric Audiologists to join our
expanding team in Hounslow. There is one full time role (37.5 hours) and one part
time role (30 hours) available.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner in the assessment, diagnosis,
treatment and evaluation of a diverse caseload.
Your role will require you to carry out a range of comprehensive audiological
assessments and provide habilitation to our paediatric population including those
with complex needs.
You will need to have experience in working in a paediatric setting and be
registered with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS).
We have a number of sites across Hounslow that you will be expected to work
from;
- Heart of Hounslow Centre for Health
- Feltham Centre for Health
- Chiswick Health Centre
We are an IQIPS accredited Community Paediatric Audiology Service. We have
recently been assessed by NHE England and NWL ICB and they have provided full
assurance of our paediatric audiology service.
All interviews will be in person on site in Hounslow. We look forward to receiving

Clinical responsibilities:
• Provision of a range of comprehensive audiological assessments and
hearing aid provision to the paediatric population including children with
complex needs.
• Effective and supportive communication with parents and professionals.
• Support efficient service delivery
• To organise and provide hearing assessments for children with special
needs in schools.
• Assist in gathering departmental performance data, developing clinical
pathways and efficient working of patient management systems such as
Auditbase.
• To be responsible for the referral process onwards from the department to
other agencies i.e. GPs, ENT, Paediatricians etc.
• To supervise junior members of staff; support in their training and
development.
Service Delivery Responsibilities:
• To support the Team Lead and Clinical Service Manager in maintaining
IQIPS accreditation.
• To participate in audit programmes, on-going development of new
techniques and technology within the department.
• To ensure that a family friendly approach permeates all contact between
audiology services and Deaf/ Hard of Hearing children and their families in
own practice and junior staff.
• To deal with all equipment faults including arranging repair in line with
departmental and manufacturers guidelines.
• To maintain stock levels, records and stock taking.
