About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and dedicatedCleaner (Grade 1)to join our team at Brookside Primary School.Under the direction of senior staff, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate can choose to work early morning (5.30am to 7.30am) or after school (3.30pm to 5.30pm). The cleaner will work two hours per day, Monday to Friday, during term time and INSET days. Cleaning during the school holiday may be amalgamated hours. Holiday must be taken during school holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean all surfaces, fixtures, fittings, floors, walls, and sanitary areas.
• Collect and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Refill and replace consumables.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure security of premises.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in general cleaning work (preferred).
• Willingness to undertake induction and training.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
