Summary
We are currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Early Years professional who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role within a supportive and high-quality childcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for:
Leading and managing a nursery room to a high standard
Planning and delivering high-quality learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
Supporting, mentoring, and supervising Nursery Practitioners
Acting as a Key Person and overseeing children’s learning and development
Ensuring safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements are met at all times
Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and the nursery management team
Completing observations, assessments, and learning journals
Maintaining high standards of practice, care, and compliance
Essential Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or experienced Nursery Practitioner
Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
Leadership and team-management skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
