Job Title: Facial Recognition Intelligence Operator (Centralised Support)
Location: [Head Office / Remote Operations Centre]
Reports To: Loss Prevention Manager / Security Operations Lead
Job Purpose:
To
manage the centralised operation for Facial Recognition.
Flexibility will be required from the candidates, as this function will grow, with more responsibilities to be covered.
Key
Accountabilities:
Ensure data privacy is respected and always maintained
Operate the FRT system and associated equipment following the standard
operating procedures and DPIA
Operate remote access CCTV following the standard operating
procedures and DPIA
Provide support and advice to stores on the system
Verify Incident Reports and edit if required to match the events
witnessed on CCTV
Form appropriate working relationships with Operations/Security
department
Maintaining accurate record keeping of data and logs while using the
FRT process
Ensuring equipment is working properly and report any faults
immediately
Adhering to and upholding company policies and procedures related to
security and confidentiality
Monitor / reply / flag to senior leadership any correspondence from
the customer facial recognition enquiry email account
Role
Overview
We
are seeking a detail-oriented and security-conscious Facial Recognition
Intelligence Operator to support our business-wide loss prevention strategy.
This centralised role is responsible for managing the company’s facial
recognition watchlist, ensuring only verified and relevant incidents are added.
The successful candidate will review incident reports submitted by stores,
verify details using remote CCTV access and or Body camera footage, and
maintain an accurate and compliant suspect database.
Key
Responsibilities
Receive and
review incident reports submitted by retail stores relating to theft,
fraud, Violence and aggression and or other security concerns.
Access and
monitor remote CCTV footage to verify incidents and confirm suspect
identity prior to any watch list addition.
Ensure all
suspect data added to the facial recognition system is accurate, relevant,
and compliant with legal and ethical standards (e.g. GDPR, company data
protection policies).
Maintain clear,
organised records of all verified incidents, including supporting evidence
and decision rationale.
Communicate with
store teams to request further information or clarification where
required.
Monitor system
performance and escalate any technical issues or anomalies to the
appropriate team.
Contribute to
incident trend analysis and reporting to support wider loss prevention
strategy.
Always maintain
strict confidentiality and data security standards.
Skills
& Experience
Previous
experience in security operations, CCTV monitoring, or retail loss
prevention is desirable.
Strong attention
to detail with the ability to verify and assess video evidence
objectively.
Excellent
organisational and record-keeping skills.
Strong
communication skills to liaise effectively with both store teams and
central operations.
Familiarity with
data protection regulations (GDPR, CCTV Code of Practice) and ethical
handling of personal data.
Ability to work
independently, with a high degree of accountability and discretion.
Strong Microsoft
skills, Teams, Excel etc
A good
understanding of IP networks, including configuration, trouble shooting
and maintenance
A good
understanding of CCTV NVR / DVR remote configuration, trouble shooting and
maintenance
