About this Role:
Experienced Senior Site Manager required by this small regional main contractor to work as No1 on a £3.5m new build Care/Assisted Living Home in Thatcham, Berkshire. This is a secured scheme with enabling works due to commence on site in January for a 14 months duration.
As Senior Site Manager, you will take the lead on the project and be responsible for the management and coordination of all works on-site throughout the construction phase to handover.
This will include client liaison, engagement with consultant design team, programming of works, logistics planning, management of supply chain sub-contractors, review of RAMS, health and safety, coordination meetings, ensuring progress of works against programme, quality assurance, issue resolution, snagging and handovers.
Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager, you will have full responsibility for the site / project to achieve successful delivery on programme, quality and budget.
About the Company:
The client is a smaller regional main contractor based in Southampton with a turnover of circa £12m.
Scope of work for this main contractor will include projects of circa £2m-4m build value in the new build commercial, industrial, retirement living and education sectors, typically in the Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset and Wiltshire areas.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will ideally be an experienced No1 Senior Site Manager with a proven track record within a Tier 2 main contracting organisation, able to deliver design & build schemes up to £3m+ in value. Key attributes will include excellent client, design team and site team management ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, plus focus and drive, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
