We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND or behavioural needs, who can provide consistent, calm and positive support in the classroom and around school.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support KS3-KS4 pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom

Assist teachers with lesson delivery and differentiation
-
Provide 1:1 and small-group support
-
Help manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation
-
Support pupils working off timetable or requiring additional supervision
-
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils

Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals
This is a Monday-Friday role (8:15am-4:30pm) on a long-term contract, with potential for extension.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who has:
-
Experience working with SEN, SEMH, PRU or alternative provision pupils
-
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
-
A calm, resilient and consistent approach
-
Ability to build trust with vulnerable young people
-
A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
-
Availability to work full time
Relevant TA qualifications or previous school experience are desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
